What we do.
The Konotop IT Cluster connects the needs of the community, business and donors with the capabilities of its members. Below are the operational directions where we create value for the region.
Project Office
The cluster's project office helps attract international and grant funding for IT development in the region. We prepare applications and coordinate projects as a partner organisation, ensuring transparent administration — reporting and procurement in line with donor requirements.
The cluster can act as a lead or partner implementer, engaging members and other organisations on fair and open terms.
- Preparing project applications (incl. USAID, GIZ, Horizon programmes).
- Coordinating projects as a lead or partner implementer.
- Transparent reporting and procurement under donor rules.
- Engaging members and partner organisations in delivery.
Human Capital
We grow IT talent in the region and help young people stay and develop at home. Together with educational institutions we introduce elements of dual education, where programmes are shaped around the real needs of employers.
A separate focus is the community and environment that help newcomers find like-minded people, first projects and jobs.
- Dual education together with institutions and companies.
- Events for youth: hackathons, bootcamps, themed forums.
- A community and environment for IT newcomers.
- Support for employment and building local teams.
Legal Shield
We help the region's IT companies operate within the law and use state instruments that support the industry. All processes stay within current legislation and in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
Our role is informational and advisory: we explain the rules and help apply them correctly.
- Information support on reserving employees of critically important enterprises — under state-defined criteria and procedures.
- Guidance on joining Diia.City and correct taxation within the regime.
- Cooperation with Ukraine's leading IT clusters (Lviv IT Cluster, Kharkiv IT Cluster) to represent the industry's interests.
Veterans
We support veterans and internally displaced people in returning to a peaceful profession through technology. We combine practical skills with digital tools and offer fast reskilling aimed at employment.
- Practical tracks: 3D printing, electronics, robotics, digital tools.
- Short reskilling programmes for real vacancies.
- Mentoring and support for employment at the cluster's member companies.
Regional Expansion
We offer the region's territorial communities a partnership in digital transformation. The cluster acts as a provider of solutions that improve the efficiency of services and local governance.
- Digitalising community services and the work of administrative service centres (TsNAPs).
- Energy audits and optimisation of resource use.
- Training staff in digital tools.
- Long-term partnership with communities as clients for solutions.
R&D
We research and pilot promising digital technologies that benefit business, education and the region's communities. We work together with companies and educational institutions, turning new ideas into practical solutions.
- Applied research and pilot projects for new technologies.
- Cooperation with companies and educational institutions.
- Bringing innovations into real products and services.
